Has anyone seen or bought the Laura Ashley NX2000 machine? I saw an ad in Quick Quilts and looked at Brothers web site, comes with lots of new attachments. But I can't find a price anywhere. Guess I'll go to LQS tomorrow and see the price.

Hi. I have a Brother NX200. I absolutely love it. However I live in Australia so don't know if it would be the same thing. I've not heard the Laura Ashley part before. They cost around $700 over here I think. We are just about dollar for dollar with you at the moment so maybe it is different.

Here's what I know: 430 built-in stitches, 30 on CD, 12 buttonholes, 3 letter fonts, 7mm max stitch width, 5mm max length, 14 needle positions, 7 point feed dogs, max speed 1000 stitches/min, 8 directions for sewing, speed control with on/off sewing (without the foot control), free arm, knee lifter, auto thread cutter, quick set/drop-in bobbin, needle up/down button also programmable, included circular sewing bundle, included extension table, included SS needle plate, included bobbin case for bobbin work, 15 feet incl FMQ, walking, and 1/4" foot. Ability to customize stitches, 15 memory pockets, and automatic and adjustable pressure foot height and pressure. Weighs 25 lbs w/o table. Can't remember harp size, but btwn 7-10", felt roomy. Great lighting, IMO. Can't remember price but was around $2000. Ruled it out early for myself b/c I wanted IDT. Otherwise seemed great, ran smoothly. Also pretty.

Funny this post came back around! I ended up buying a gently used 4500 instead!

I am planning on buying one this week. The price is about $1900.00 - I tried it out at the dealers a couple of times and really think I will like it. Originally wanted the Bernina 440QE but don't really have the extra money for that one (it was about $1000.00 more) so decided that this Brother will be just what I want and what I will use.

Good price. I think you'll be happy. Love the circular sewing bundle, included and the multidirectional sewing. It has very good reviews. Enjoy and post your feedback and projects!
