    Screen Printing question

    Hello Ladies,

I am in the process of making my oldest grandson, who is a firefighter and an emt., a quilt. I went to the screen print shop and had four blocks screen printed. They are 12" blocks with large paint. Now I know that I cannot iron them as it smears the paint. I am wondering now if it can be laundried and dried in the dryer with out the paint coming off.

Have any of you ladies tried this?

Thank you all for your help.

P.S. My printing is very delayed. I wish I knew how to correct this problem.

Not sure what you mean by "large paint".
I wouldn't guess about laundering (or ask us to guess) I would call the shop.

Thank you Paper Princess. I think I will call the print shop. The large paint meant very large painted lettered blocks. I apologize for not being clear about the paint.

I have just screen printed some labels for myself using ink specifically for fabric and I was told that if I did not iron the print, it would wash out. When ironing, I placed a piece of scrap fabric over the design and just pressed down without moving the iron. I then flipped the design and ironed the back the same way. About 5 minutes in total. Check carefully with the shop so you can avoid a potential disaster.
