I'm making a 40th anniversary quilt for my in-laws. On the back I'm having each child and grandchild make their own block by just coloring with those fabric crayons. But, I have to make a block as well!!! I would like to use a quote or saying something about stitching family love yatta yatta. But I'm not sure of where to look to find a good one. Does anyone know of a web site or somewhere that's got great sayings and or quotes??
Thanks, ya'all are the best!!

No but my mom bought me a tee shirt with a patchwork heart that says grandchildre are pieces of the (patchwork heart). I guess the whole family could be pieces of the heart.

Good Morning,
The quote that we used for the quilt we made for our aunt and uncle said,

"Quilted with memories of the good times we've shared."

The following web site has some dedications that are neat.

The perfect saying is out there. You may find it in your own heart felt words for your in-lwas.

Bumper sticker sites may have something. At one time, there was a fabric print for signature blocks available with cute sayings, but have not found it online. Here are some quotes I came across:

I love sewing and have plenty of material witnesses. ~Author Unknown

Good friends are like quilts - they age with you yet never lose their warmth. ~Author Unknown

A family is a patchwork of love. ~Author Unknown

In the crazy quilt of life, I'm glad you're in my block of friends. ~Author Unknown

Quilters never cut corners. ~Author Unknown

I'm in therapy and sewing is cheaper than a psychiatrist. ~Author Unknown

Love is the thread that binds us. ~Author Unknown

Our lives are like quilts - bits and pieces, joy and sorrow, stitched with love. ~Author Unknown

Those who sleep under a quilt, sleep under a blanket of love. ~Author Unknown

Quilters know all the angles. ~Author Unknown

Grandma quilts have love in every stitch. ~Author Unknown

A bed without a quilt is like a sky without stars. ~Author Unknown

Quilt 'til you wilt. ~Author Unknown

A great niece is graduating this season and a quilt with lost of messages, etc is being made. When I get to sign same, here is the quote I will be writing:

"Trees spend all day looking up to God." -- Mitch Albom from his new book "For One More Day" (I'll also add a personal note following this quote.)

This is an easy read but very very thought provoking. The main character spends one day with his mother (after she had already died). Really puts things in proper prospective. I'm not done with it so I don't know how it ends, however, I would recommend it to all. Suzanne
