Our quilt group is doing a challenge and I got the letter E. I am supposed to make some blocks beginning with that letter. I just can't find many and I want a pretty one. It can be pieced or applique or a combination. I've heard of one called English Garden but have never seen it. Any help out there? Catherine

An appliquéd "E"agle? Little chicks and an "E"gg? "E"aster basket or bunny? "E"lephant? Try http://www.fatcatpatterns.com/ for a few of the appliqué designs.
On our challenge we had to use our initials so for the E I used Ebony, but had thought of Eggplant so maybe for fun you might want to incorporate that into your design as well?

Try "5,500 Quilt Block Designs" by Maggie Malone. There are over 90 blocks starting with the letter "E".
Your local library may have it. If not, check out getting it on amazon. The used ones are the least expensive. I usually get books from them in about 10-14 days.
This book just shows the blocks. You have to do the math yourself. There are simple ones to very complicated ones.

OMG!!! I would have one heck of a time choosing from any of the blocks that start with the letter "E". There is some beautiful ones in there... Good luck with your decision.
