I have been searching for the name of a quilt/block pattern. It looks like an easy version of S&W in that it's a 4-patch block but the 4 square patches are cut identically and then pieced so that they are all oriented in the same position, like a very simple kaleidescope. I can figure out how to do it, it's not rocket science but I want to google pics of finished quilts for inspiration.
    TIA
    Penny

Boy, you ladies were fast on the draw! That was exactly the pattern name. I have done a little googling and seen some spectacular quilts in just a couple of minutes. Thank you so very much!

Is this the pattern? My mom makes a lot of these- I think it's pretty easy and it always gets a big reaction from non-quilters because they have no idea how it works. They are cool! She just calls them Stack and Whacks, but I am not sure if that is correct.

I also have heard it called Four Patch Posies.

(This one is cool- a little different, but I think you could figure it out since you seem to be fairly confident about figuring out the first one.)

Yep, I think it is actually called Four patch STACKED posie.
It is really easy and looks so much more difficult than it really is! Makes a great looking quilt!

Just pick a size and make them all the same, or if you like a challenge, make differnt sized blocks and then figure out a creative sashing to put them all together with.
