Hi everyone,

I have been working on a couple of my own designs.....and
I haved designed a quilt that will incorporate embroidery panels....but the problem is I'm not into the artist side of this.....

Well, that's not a problem because there are lots of great stitchery sites where I can purchase the designs...I've done this before...for my own quilts...

But, I want to find patterns or ideas for the stitchery that I can incoporate into my pattern that are not going to be copyright...

I have approached 2 people who do stitchery patterns to ask permission to use providing I give full credit to them and put the link in the pattern to their websites but I haven't even heard back.....

So, now I have brought the pattern to the point where all I am missing are the embroidery panels.....

What would you all do....or perhaps you all have some suggestions I can do to over come this - or something different I can use as a fill-in....I really an wanting to do the embroidery - primitive stitcheries of sorts would have been my first choice.....ideally this is going to be a Christmas or Winter quilt so that's the theme I have been looking for - but that can be changed also.....

Anyways, would love to get any feedback - ideas - all will be appreciated!!!

Thanks in advance...

Bill

I don't really have any suggestions, but I have a site that has all different embroidery stitches that maybe you could use.

http://www.fidella.com/webstitch/needle_stitch.html

Hope this helps.

Have you ever heard of Dover Publications? They have a series of books and CDs that are royalty free, copyright free images in any style you can possibly desire. They have been used by artists worldwide for generations. http://store.doverpublications.com/b...-archive-.html
