Default Baby quilt for my first grandchild.

I have loved every minute of it! My son and daughter-in-law are having a girl, due February 1st. Today is her baby shower. I had doubts that I would finish the quilt for the shower, and wasn't going to rush myself. But once I got started, I pushed myself and I couldn't put it down. Applique is so easy with the heat n bond and machine zig-zag! I have never done prarie points before this either, and I am pleased with my result.

Can we see a picture? Congratulations on the granddaughter and getting the quilt finished. I am sure that it is very pretty. BrendaK

if you do not see a picture frame with a tree in it above the typing box, go to Settings, General Settings and scroll way down. Choose WYSIWYG and be sure to save your changes.

That's great info. Although I'm not the one that started this thread I must say thanks, QuiltnNan.

Congratulations to us. I am going to have my first grandchild in March and is going to be a girl too. Your thread has come just at the right time. I was about to write in to ask what kind of wadding I should use for a new born baby quilt? All advice would be appreciated.

I love to make baby quilts & we live in the South so I like to use flannel as batting. But if I'm making one to go to colder climates I use Warm & Natural. (we have 9 grandchildren & 10 is due in May0
Congratulations to both you ladies
