Time in a bottle.

If I could save time in a bottle I tell you what I would like to do.

Queen- We are the Champions, or Bohemian Rhapsody. Great lyrics if you listen. Written by Faroukk Bulsara aka Freddie Mercury.

I recognize this as the theme song from the "Billyjack" movies. Who wrote it?

This was a wonderful stroll down memory lane....so many great songs! Thanks to Merrylouw for "Today" which was the song we danced to at our wedding, nearly 40 years ago. Nice memories! Now these songs will be in my head for the rest of the day!

Sorry for the error I think the Beatles sing this on the Sgt. Pepper album--Definitely a John Lennon song.

The one she did in jr. high
And that old lamp up in the attic,
She'll need some light to study by.

She's had 18 years to get ready for this day
She should be past the tears, she cries some anyway

Oh oh letting go
There's nothing in the way now,
Oh letting go, there's room enough to fly
And even though, she's spent her whole life waiting,
It's never easy letting go.

Mother sits down at the table
So many things she'd like to do
Spend more time out in the garden
Now she can get those books read too.

She's had 18 years to get ready for this day
She should be past the tears, she cries some anyway.

"You're Gonna Miss This" by Trace Adkins
She was staring out that window, of that SUV
Complaining, saying I can't wait to turn 18
She said I'll make my own money, and I'll make my own rules
Mamma put the car in park out there in front of the school
Then she kissed her head and said I was just like you

You're gonna miss this
You're gonna want this back
You're gonna wish these days hadn't gone by so fast
These are some good times
So take a good look around
You may not know it now
But you're gonna miss this

Before she knows it she's a brand new bride
In a one-bedroom apartment, and her daddy stops by
He tells her It's a nice place
She says It'll do for now
Starts talking about babies and buying a house
Daddy shakes his head and says Baby just slow down

'Cause You're gonna miss this
You're gonna want this back
You're gonna wish these days hadn't gone by so fast
These are some good times
So take a good look around
You may not know it now
But you're gonna miss this

Five years later there's a plumber workin' on the water heater
Dog's barkin', phone's ringin'
One kid's cryin', one kid's screamin'
She keeps apologizin'
He says they don't bother me
I've got 2 babies of my own
One's 36, one's 23
Huh, it's hard to believe

But you're gonna miss this
You're gonna want this back
You're gonna wish these days hadn't gone by so fast
These are some good times
So take a good look around
You may not know it now
But you're gonna miss this
You're gonna miss this
Yeah, you're gonna miss this
I loved the lyrics to both songs. The letting go one is wonderful and I just had to let go of my "Mommy". She passed away Jan1st at the age of 93 and it was hard to let go. For a college quilt the "Letting Go" lyrics would be great

From Dan Fogelberg's "Netherlands" '...my vision became my release'. Great titles he had include: "Dancing Shoes" "Scarecrow's Dream" "Wishing on the Moon" "There's a Place in the World for a Gambler" and "To the Morning".
Piano solos by Laurens Van Rooyen: "Good Morning, Midnight" and "Imaginary Landscapes"
From Over the Rainbow: 'where troubles melt like lemon drops'
Other titles:
"I've Got a Pocketful of Dreams"
"Side by Side"
"Melody of Love"

What a great way to name a quilt!
