Default Self challenge

You know that feeling when you feel the fear.. when you look at your fat quarters and you think, "no I just couldn't use them, I might spoil them and then they would be gone." Well I have challenged myself publicly... I am going to do two big projects this year... one, a quilt as you go sampler quilt and the second, a reversible knitted Afghan. So I have committed to two blocks a month on both. So tell me, should I just slip into the white jacket that buckles up at the back?

Sewing starts on Saturday... unless I bottle it!

Thank you for the encouraging words... I was thinking of a classic block... but then I thought about a local landmark!

The schoolhouse morphs into the beach hut... I think!

Ros... with set square and protactor in hand!

PS... This is not a Thorpe Bay beach hut (ie no bacon sarnies or steps!)

Would you like zippers on that jacket, too? Lol

You can do it! I'm making a commitment to use as much as my stash as possible, too.

Right, first the bad news, the black batting I was waiting for still has not arrived so I spent Sunday working on the reversible Afghan Squares and to make it feel like quilting I have devised a flying geese pattern...
