Default Serger = Tickled pink!

I've been wanting a serger for a long, long time - not any longer!

Picked one up from a CraigsList ad and...........

it included 91 spool
s of serger thread (most spools not even unwrapped)..........

............ I paid $25 for all of it.

It even has a new, unused, blade and the owner's manual. Everything was in the original box.

I cleaned it all up, inside and out, dusted the 'bunnies' from the inside and oiled it and she just purrs.

Sis and I are planning on being in a craft fair this fall and a serger will make crafting some of our items so much easier, faster and neater.

Yes, it's an older model (Juki) from the late 1980's but I'm as happy as an uneaten Easter peep!

Enjoy your new serger. You really got a deal - the thread alone is worth way more than $25!

Juki makes fantastic products. Juki machines are used all over in industrial factories. You stole that deal. I look and look at craigslist, and never see anything like that. Good for you.

You did good. Ok to have an older serger. I should know I have two older ones. I love my serger! They really aren't that hard. Just be sure to really work with it and give it a chance. Too many people give up on them way to easy.work with it and you will be happy you did.

I don't use my serger a lot but I wouldn't give it up! I make a lot of receiving blankets - cut 36" squares, round the corners, serge the edges then crochet a shell stitch around the whole blanket. I know others who use their sergers for just about everything. You found a great bargain!

My serger was the heaviest paper weight I ever bought.
Never could figure that thing out.
