Thank you, everyone. I will try again! I have tried the sew on the back and flip to the front method, however I could never get it the come out right when I use minky for the back. I am curious about the flange technique. I will definaty have to try that.

I always sew it on the back first. Though one thing I have learned is to be careful on the corners that I don't stretch or pull it down toward the corner, but to be careful and keep it pulled straight toward the center. Gives you a beautiful miter on the binding that way.

The Missouri Quilt company Tute on utube really helped me. My hand sewing Not good enough for hand binding and neither are my patience to improve it or time allowance. Back first then front, sometimes decorative stitch or walKing foot and straight stitch.
