I just had one of those precious moments when I realized I'm having a blissful perfect happy day. What is the recipe? For me it is this.

I'm ironing and cutting sashes in preparation to join blocks. My sewing room has three windows, which are open. A soft breeze is blowing, bringing sounds of birds, a distant lawn mower, and the smells of spring. Three Italian Greyhounds are lazing nearby to keep me company. I glance outside often to take in the beautiful day. I see my sweet hubby sitting in the garden with his iPad and a cup of coffee and our foster Italian greyhound at his side. It is a gorgeous day and I get to enjoy it from within my sewing room as I work on my beautiful quilt. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world as I iron and cut luscious fabric.

Jealous here but happy for you. I'm looking at a sink full of cooking dishes and complete mess waiting to be picked up. I decided to take a break first....

:hunf: This is me being jealous! Although, I did get a trip to JoAnn's and Loew's for paint chips!

Sounds wonderful! Especially the lounging sight hounds! (ish!)

I think I will tell my cat that I am going to trade her in for an Italian Greyhound. She wouldn't believe me anyhow. My Queen of snarky is in full throttle this morning.

Enjoy your day; it sounds wonderful!

Sounds like a great start to a book - "the life of this quilter". Sounds wonderful! Love the furbabies too. Have never had an italian greyhound, but they are so cute. We just have our (2) rescues, both mixed breeds.. They are the best.

Sounds wonderful. I had to take down my table I use for sewing to set up for food because we had a house full of family for an Easter egg hunt via 4 wheeler in the woods yesterday. The storms that came in through eastern NC yesterday make the cookout very interesting. The wind blew so hard it kept blowing the burner out. The children kept getting hit by shingles flying off the roof but all in all it was a lot of fun and memories were made. But I sure wish I had your peaceful sewing room today to spend some ME time in! Enjoy!
