OK has anyone ever purchased custom made sewing labels? If so where from and did you get them at a reasonable price.

I am not starting to sell my purses and I wanted to make a label for the inside.

Any tips or websites would be great

There used to be ads for them in the backs of sewing magazines. I haven't looked for any lately so I don't know...

Does your machine do any monogramming stitches? Maybe you can come up with your own?

Our LQS's have then by the yard, believe it or not.

However, if you have an ink jet printer with your computer you can make your own. Just prewash your material [detergent only -no softener or other] and once it is dry [again, no fabric softener] iron it, then iron it wrong side to the shiny side of freezer paper cut to fit the printer. I do an extra trim and ironing on the leading edge of this so it stays just right in the printer.

Using your printer you can cut and paste designs or even pictures - or a scanneddesign from the printer - and change the font to suit you. You can use whatever colors you want.

DON'T use Best Press on the label either ... it will make the ink run.

I ordered some Debbie Mumm labels from Keepsake quilting.
But it was years ago before I bought my Embroidery machine.
Don't know if they still carry these or not. But the catalog I received this week had Thimbleberries Labels. The panel had 32 labels for $7.49 Check the website.

I have ordered some from someone on Etsy before - don't remember the name. Do a search and you should come up with several different vendors that have them.
