Default Sewing machine foot pedal

This probably is a no brainer for those who have solved it. But, I need help in how to keep my sewing machine pedal from scooting out from under me. I have a rug under it, but I am still always retrieving it. Please help. Thank you.

Rubber mesh matting that you use for cupboard liners. Think you can get rolls at Walmart.

Good suggestions. Did you try using the search function on here? Maybe there are more suggestions.

I tried both the mesh and the mouse pad and now instead of the foot slipping, the pad slips!!!! I am about ready to glue the thing to the floor!

Before you glue it to the floor . . . get yourself an over-sized, clog-type shoe. Glue the pedal to the bottom of the shoe. Slip foot into shoe, to sew!

Last time I had a mammogram, they used these nice little pads on the glass. When she was done, she threw it in the trash, and I hauled it out and asked if I could have it. Nice cushion on one side, and sticky on the other. It's about 8 x 10, and fits perfect for my foot pedal. No more traveling across the rug. See if your Woman's Health Center uses these. The nurse said it wasn't the first time someone asked for them.

I put a strip of thin baseboard molding between front sewing table/cabinet legs. It stops the petal from moving under the table. I like to sew with my petal under my chair, I bend my knee. It puts less stress on my foot and hip. I had a PT show me this better way for me. When I go to classes I take a Sta Put mat for the pedal. It works on carpet and bare floors.
