If you go online you can find SHMETZ sewing machine needles in small boxes of 100 needles for around $35.00. I bought size 80, which I use most often. Sure beats the in store prices.

Too many needles for you? Split the box with a friend/s.

My sister got me these for Christmas a couple of years ago. One of the best gifts ever, and I think of her every time I change my needle!!

This month, May, I am not buying anything to do with my quilting. I'm saving for the quilt show in Long Beach California. I have to keep in mind about the needles! Thanks!

I love both of these needles. My Pfaff and Viking love the Schmetz or Klasse and my Brother loves the Organ. I have purchased several boxes off of Ebay so I have enough to last for a long long time..

Wow, this is a great idea. I put together an order for jhittle every once in a while. (Free shipping with $100 order -- not hard to do with the variety they have.)

I buy Organ needles from Dry Cleaners Supply for $1.75 for a package of 10. If you buy 10 packs at a time it's only $1.40/pack.

Does anyone else use the Schmetz quilting needles (in the pink package)? I started using them a long time ago and just continued but I have no idea why. I just piece with them. Is there a reason to continue or are the universals just as good for piecing? Does anyone use sharps?

I love the 100 needles for $28 deal but have to decide what kind of needles I want and need. Help me! :?

I read an article somewhere about the shape of the end of different needles.

When I FMQ, I do use Schmetz quilting needles. But when I piece of machine embroider...or do anything else on the sewing machine, I use the Organ sewing machine needles.

Just my 2 cents worth...your mileage may vary. :)
