Would you buy this machine? And if so, would you pay 50.00 for it? I will appreciate any help I can get. A friend has this for sale, and I am undecided.

In a minute. It's not a 301, but I bet it has a lot of similar characteristics. Can you find out what it is? The number is on the little plate on the pillar.

I would look over the wiring and make sure it has a foot pedal, but I think I would pay $50.00 for it. Like Hattie Frances says, the cabinet looks beautiful.

Yes I will be able to do that in a little while when I go to look at it in person. She says it works great and has been told that they are woth 300.00, but she is only asking 50 for it. It is not a very good picture she sent but the cabinet alone would be worth it for me.

I think that's a 319 in which case it uses non-standard needles, 206 x 13. It's low shank and uses discs for more deco stitches. Make sure the bobbin case isn't damaged from people using the wrong size of needle. HTH.

There are lots of good points to those old singers. I think it is a good deal.
