Default Crosshatching for the first time!!! High tension that is for sure

I just bought my Mega 18 from Pfaff, and of course there isn't any extender table for ruler work anywhere, so I am totally surfing on the web for my DH to make something. We came up with something and I have it on the frame and am crosshatching the outside border....It looks fabulous, but what a scary part of quilting. I made a cross hatching ruler out of two pieces of plexiglass glued together, and that is working good. Just needed a tension reliever. If anyone has any hints or tricks, I would be up for anything. Thanks for listening.

No tips. I just want to say Congratulations. All I've done is SID and meandering. I need to get brave and do cross hatching too.

    Default ruler base

If you go to www.FinishingTouchesQuiltingStudio.com they have a ruler base for this machine, plus a new foot they have developed for the 18.8 that is exactly 1/2 inch around. Plus they have smaller handles for better control doing small stippling. The new foot gives you exactly 1/4 inch from the needle and is easier to see with than the one that comes with the machine.
Finishing Touches is great to work with and parcel came quickly, even to Canada.
Oh, they are also making some rulers for ruler work too, I bought the starter set.
I have the same machine except Viking brand, and am just learning (and loving) how to use it.

Thanks, I went there, and Know that Tin Lizzie and Pfaff megaquilter are close to the same, but there was no picture on the extension table,. I think my cross hatching did well and will post a picture soon.
