How many times have you entered a hotel and stopped dead in your tracks in the entry or as you entered the bathroom to admire the tile or mosaic pattern? Me? All the time.

In the old days (10 years ago), ever pull out a scrap piece of paper to scratch out a tile pattern or mosaic that inspired a quilt? Well we have come a long way. Today, we can whip out the phone camera to take a quick pic. We are certainly spoiled!

A few years ago, I finished this grey, black and white quilt but I couldn't remember where the inspiration scrawled on the scrap of paper had come from. We just spent Thanksgiving at Disneyland and believe it or not, I walked into one of the thousand bathrooms there and immediaely recognized the pattern on the floor. It was the same floor that had inspired me years ago! This time I took a picture.
