Just read where some quilters "found" their thread cutter after owning the machine for several years... I'm wondering does anyone know if there is a way to sharpen that thread cutter?

Mine is on a 1969 Singer Stylist and it's so dull, I haven't used it in years... just keep small scissors/cutter handy.

It is a very, very thin angled slot to the rear of the machine. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Not sure if it would work on yours, but I sharpened mine with a nail file.

I would take mine in to be serviced and ask if they can sharpen it
