nancysnotions.com has that red one for about 10 dollars less, I believe. Not sure about their international shipping.

Hi Jane and other,

I was thinking about getting one of this myself when I came across a different rotary blade sharpener. It is similiar to the blue hand sharpener, of which I've used for many years to extend the life of my blades.

It is called the TrueCut Power Sharpener. It can also be found at Connecting Threads. It is currently on sale. There was also a different posting for free shipping. I'm not sure if this applies to Aussie's though, if not I'm sorry. You may be able to have your local LQS carry these.

Here is a link to the item.

http://www.connectingthreads.com/too...r__D81995.html

Item No. 81995
Sharpen your blades with the push of a button! Sharpens any brand blade, 28mm, 45mm,and 60mm, both sides sharpened at the same time no matter how dull.

Note: Cannot sharpen blades that have nicks in them. Blades not included.

5" x 3" x 3"sharpens blades: 28mm, 45mm, and 60mm

For blades with nicks in them, you can take a metal nail file and carefully try to smooth out the nick while in your rotary cutter.

I have not used this sharpener yet, but it would seem to work as the manual sharpener did.

Hope this is helpful to other quilters.

I looked at the site. $64 and this company does not send to australia. shall look for it here.
