Default Shashing & Borders

I need some good information on doing shashing and borders. Sizes and solids and or prints? Any information will be apprecidated. Thanks so very much. Everyone here is such a GREAT help to me. Thanks again

It really depends on the quilt wether you add sashing or not. Some quilt blocks create cool secondary patterns with no sashes. You can have solid sashing, printed sashing, whatever suits your blocks. Busy blocks can be calmed down with plain solid sashing. If possible post a picture and you will get tons of opinions.

i would say it depends on the size of the blocks if its 10 in or larger i would go with 2.5 in but if the block is smaller your sashing needs to be as well. im not an expert or anything thats just my opinion. as for colors anything that matches is fine its your quilt you cant go wrong. i would stay away from large prints but other than that ???
