last night my daughter was bored because her sister was on an overnight. i asked her if she wanted to help me clean my sewing room. well, we started going through scraps and before i knew it, she was cleaning off the spare machine and planning a project! she's decided on a crumb block quilt with a single color for each block. she already has 5 blocks made! i'm happy! i have A sewing buddy under the same roof!

Awesome! Kids can be so very creative when given the chance. Ask her if we can see her project when it's finished.

that is so cool, she will need to make something and enter it in the fair

now you will need to share your fabric with her

Happy Quilting!

Awww, that's wonderful! My family usually just laughs about my addiction, there is only a couple that really appreciate the stuff. Tried to get my GD interested but she has so many other interests that she decided I should "just make her stuff that she wants?"

That is so wonderful. Tell her we are proud to welcome her to the great world of quilting. She has already gotten farther than my DD. Mine just cut the blocks but hasn't tried to sew them yet.
