Default Shiva Paintstiks - anyone here use them?

I just purchased an assortment of Shiva paintstiks from Dharma Trading - they were a little pricier than ones I found on Amazon but I was able to choose my own colors. Anyone here use them? What were your thoughts? Have pictures you can share?? Thanks!

I can't offer any input, as I've never used them - but I have been considering it so I'm curious what responses you get.

Thank you QuiltNan! I read through some of the older threads but there just isn't much info shared on them. I saw a few pictures pop up in the photos section so thought maybe it might be time to ask again!!

Like how they wash up for instance! I am reading they are permanent after heat setting. I'd kind of like to use it on some quilts that may not get used a lot, but might be washed I every now and then (I have kitties and dust accumulates on quilts on display). I don't know if I'd throw them in the washer but maybe rinse in the sink and hand dry? Or must they be dry cleaned?

Yes I have used them. I get mine at a local art store because I can choose my own colors.

I have used them directly on fabric using one of the Cedar Canyon plates and that turned out great. I have also just rubbed them on freezer paper and brushed it on fabric to give the fabric a more appealing look. It made the orchids and flowers more realistic in color.

Just wash you quilt normally. However, my normal is more like using a quilt soap and not what I use with my clothes/

It is great that they form their own protective cover and all you have to do is remove it and they are just like new.

Thanks for sharing AliKat! This is good to know - I cannot wait until they come in. I don't use a quilt wash but will probably not wash the quilts I use them on that often.
