Default shops around springfield, Mass.

Okay....this is my first attempt on this sight.... We are traveling to Springfield, Mass. and I am hoping you can help me with quilt shops and/or yarn shops in the area. We will be there for about 5 days....Thanks!

I dont do stuff with yarn, but i know where the quilt shops are in the area. A Notion To Quilt- Shelburne, MA (quilt shop, and there'sa yarn shop attached next door), Greenfield Textile Mill, Greenfield, MA, Southampton Quilts, Southampton, MA, Osgood's, Springfield,MA (has every kind of fabric and trims...it's an experience), Quilts and Treasures, East Longmeadow, MA. There are more. What way are you coming from? PM me for more information.

Jen has pretty much covered Western Mass. Just one small correction Osgood's (it is truely an experience) is on Park Street in West Springfield, not Springfield. There is a great shop in Wales (off Route 20 in Brimfield) called Meeting House Fabrics. This is a small shop but they have a great fabric selection. Also a few miles east in Charlton is Charlton Sewing Center. You can also PM me if you need more directions. Hope you enjoy your trip to Massachusetts.

How about Apple Tree Fabrics, 850 Southbridge Street in Auburn. There's a sewing machine store right next door. The Quilt & Cabbage on Main Street in Sturbridge and the Charlton Sewing Center at 12 Stafford Street, Charlton. These are up the pike from Springfield, but if the other ones aren't enough, it's worth the drive.

Webs is a wonderful yarn shop I hear. Haven't been there yet, but it is on my list for the spring. They are located around Springfield.

WEBS in Northhampton is the place to go for yarn! Check out their website @ yarn.com. They have a couple of big sales in the spring.
