The only quilt shop in Atlanta that I know is Intown Quilters off of North Druid Hills Rd, Mistletoe Dr. This shop sells mostly very bright colored fabrics and batiks. Most of the quilt shops are located outside of Atlanta. There are 3 in Marietta, GA about 20 miles from Atlanta - Little Quilts, Tiny Stitches, and Red Hen.

If she is on the south side have her check out A Scarlet Thread. It is about 2 miles east of I-75 off of exit 221. This is a huge shop with a LOT of everything, and the people are fantastic. Here are directions from their website:

If she's on the north side, in the Cumming area, she'll have to go to Thread Bear Fabrics. 770.781.0001. Great people and a gazillion bolts of fabric. Good prices too.

I love, LOVE, LOVE Intown Quilters. They have a great variety of fabrics - lots of brights and batiks as noted above, but also great selection of children's fabrics, holiday fabrics, and many current collections. I am heading to Decatur next week and cannot wait to get to Intown Quilters. However, I may have to venture out one day and try to find A Scarlet Thread - sounds like another one of my kinds of places. And I have a dear friend in Cumming, so may have to find that store too. Great information from you folks. thanks.
