Default Shops in lancaster area

we are making plans to attend the lancaster show next month. here are a few shops we will be visiting. i was wondering if you had any additional ones worth going to. we don't mind traveling a bit out of the way. also, i understand there is a place selling apparel that will also sell remnants but not sure of the name. maybe lmc. its by a walmart (dont know which one). martins, weavers, goods, old ctry, zooks, log cabin, burkholders, obie, pa. fabric, log cabin, quilt shack. anyone know anything about milliners menagerie. thank you for your input. <o></o>

There is a relatively new shop, The Farm Family Quilt Shop, I think it's called. It is at the intersection of Rt. 322 and Rt. 23. I think the town is Blue Ball. One of my favorites is the Quilt Ledger off Rt. 41 in Christiana, PA. It's about 25 minutes from downtown Lancaster. She has a great eye for fabric.

If you don't mind traveling a bit, there is Ladyfingers in Berks County. The owner designs for Andover, so has great prices on Andover fabrics.

Both the Quilt Ledger and Ladyfingers have websites. So you can check them out online and get directions.

Have a great time!

Not too far, but not next door either. There is/was a lady in Shady Maple who was in the section of SM where they sell quilts, that turned me onto Family Farm quilts. I think she may have been affiliated with the shop but not sure. They were very new at the time so had somewhat limited fabrics at the time but very nice fabrics. I think they've expanded their inventory quite a bit by now.

Quilt & Fabric Shack and Old Country are my two faves. There was another shop I purchased fabric a year or more ago that I can't remember the name. When I get back to my sewing room later tonight or tomorrow, I will look for the card and post. Nice selection of quality fabric and very reasonable prices.

What show are you going to? When? May have to plan a road trip!

Oh, you should also visit the vendors in the Continental Hotel on Rt. 30 next to Dutch Wonderland and across from the Lancaster Host, where the Lancaster Quilt Show used to be held. Just double check to make sure they are going to be there again this year.

Lancaster show is March 11-14, 2015 39 vendors will be at the continental hotel; but the best part is you can take a shuttle bus to the AWS show in downtown lancaster for $2 each way. i think there are 120 vendors downtown. here is a link

pamar i was looking for places i.e. martin's where the fabric is $3.79 a yard flat fold. i love martin's and the variety is unlimited. i dont know why more people don't go there. its an hour north of lancaster but then we go to burkholders, shady maple and then down into lancaster and shops on old pa. tpk.
