Should have played the lottery....

You know how sometimes things just work out?
So I am making a raffle quilt for a non-profit group, and decided to be thrifty by using some of my old fabrics in my stash...found some really nice stuff from the 1990's - and decided to do a French braid. The one fabric I used for the triangles was a small piece, but it was enough to do just the triangles...wished I had more - it would have been really nice for the divider strips too.
Then I saw an ad in Craig's list for a yard sale of "1000's" of yards of fabric, so of course I had to go (much to the dismay of my family). There was a lot of good stuff still there when I arrived, but I understand the 'early birds' took quite a bit. As I was pawing my way through the tables, another woman picked up a piece that was EXACTLY the same as the fabric I just described - what are the chances!?? I held my breath and she said "pretty, but I don't know what I would do with it" so I said "I do!!!" and grabbed it quick...I told her the story and she laughed - agreed it couldn't have been planned better...
Got a lot of good stuff...a shopping bag full of fabric scraps & FQ, plus 18 large ziplocs, including one full of scrappy circles cut out for a yo-yo, another 2 with squares cut - beautiful scraps, another with just 30's fabric...2 boxes of sewing machine parts...a wooden case of artists oil paints, pastels, markers, pencils, 12 quilt patterns and 5 books....ALL of this for $30!!!!
I would post pics but it would just be unfair to gloat :)

You can not tell us what you got and then not show pic's. That is just plain cruel and mean. Now take some and show us what you got. I am dying to see.
