Hello all -

I have been bitten by the sewing machine collecting bug. We have 2 modern Pfaffs, plus the 1200 for quilting. I purchased an old 15 clone on ebay last fall, and recently found a featherweight for an awesome deal. Today I was picking through a junk store on my lunch hour and found a Singer 503 in a cabinet for $45. We don't have anything in a cabinet and I would like to try Billy's vintage cleaning tutorial, but I don't really have any place to put a cabinet. What do you think (like there's any doubt what you're going to tell me).

Thanks,

Darren

$45.00 for a Singer 503 is very inexpensive. I have one and I enjoy the embroidery cams that goes with it. Works perfect and the only I take it to the shop is for usual maintenance. I made a wedding veil with my 503. Buy it and you won't regret it.

Hi Darren, I am on a vintage machine rampage (and it's fun, huh?) so of course you need to buy it. I couldn't tell you not to do anything I couldn't do!!
How do you like your FW??? I'm in love with mine!!

Sue -

I dropped it at the shop on Wednesday, so I haven't used it yet. I wanted to try Billy's tutorial out on it, but it has some paint coming off where it had been wet and I didn't want to do anything to make it worse. I have a vacation day scheduled Monday, so hopefully I can pick it up then.
