I have an opportunity to buy EQ 4 for $30.00. I'm too poor and will never be able to buy EQ7 so I was wondering if this would be good enough for now. Any thoughts?

I've seen EQ5 on ebay for $25. I would at least go for that.

I wouldn't. The earlier versions are much less user-friendly than the newer ones. I would bid on EQ5 on eBay for the same amount of money until you snag one.

You will be so frustrated with EQ4. Really think you can do better on ebay buying EQ5. Sorry to be a gloomy gus!

I have EQ5 and hardly ever use it because it frustrates the snot out of me. That is the reason I haven't asked DH for EQ6 or 7. I hope the newer ones are more user friendly. Trying to get it to do what I want is like pulling teeth. I always seem to go back to using the copy machine and graph paper with colored pencil. I would just save your money for EQ7.

I just purchased EQ7 for 149.00 with free shipping this past week. Not a purchase I would of done at 190.00+ shipping that i've seen them for. I was home sick for 4 days and decided I would of spent atleast 75.00 in fuel and I just won't buy any fabric this next couple weeks, So that is how I justified purchasing it. I have never owned EQ products till this one arrives.
I would say - keep checkin and don't purschase it.. check out the EQ5 on Ebay. You can get some great advice from your quilting friends. I did!
