A lot can happen to a machine in shipping. Last time I was at my dealer, a NEW machine came in with the box all crushed. That's when the dealer talked me out of having one shipped from across the country. If that's how they arrive from the warehouse in proper packaging, just imagine if it's in less than ultimate packing!
With the newer and computerized machines - I wouldn't ship it.
When I ordered my Innova 18" it was shipped by Fedx and had been dropped. My husband refused it. The factory shipped me another one. The first one was supposed to be drop shipped and believe me! it WAS DROP shipped. The dealer who sold it to me told me that she saw it when it came back and that I wouldn't have wanted it. I guess the factory re did it.

Couldn't believe when I turned on the forum as the photo of
your new gorgeous machine showed on my screen --looks a lot like mine but different. So glad this turned out to be a good thing.
Know what you mean about co. leaving early --enjoy
Does this machine do embroidery? --maybe that's why it is
    not like mine.

I'm soooooo glad you like the machine. Hubby called 1/2 hr ago, past Deep River and should be home in a couple of hours. Thankyou for letting everyone on the board here know, that, everything turned out alright. I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas and if you have any questions about your new machine...I'm only a phone call away.

A very very special thank you to you Debbie! (I wasn't sure you wanted to be known) I have been playing around with it for a while now...and I absolutely love everything about it! Thanks so much for everything, and for your offer of help if need be. It is actually very very similar to my "baby brother" as I am now calling my 900D...so I pretty much know the machine inside and out already! I've named her "Daisy" as she is pretty as a daisy and I love daisies! Gotta make her a soft cover with her name on it...as soon as all the company is gone I will be on that!
Let me know when hubby is home so I don't stay up all night worrying about it. And a very Merry Christmas to you both as well! You've helped make mine extra special! And thank you so much for all the spools of embroidery thread...Wow! You sent me TONS!
Again Debbie thank you so very much!
