Default which side up?

WHich side of the 2 fabrics or pieces you are sewing together go on Top. I know there is a "rule" and that if you sew it one way it sort of lays that way to make ironing easier or if you need to ease in fabric it is best to sew a certain way.

If you need to ease in the fabric, put the larger one on the bottom.

And an easy way to remember that is to think of "baggy bottoms".

I alway say sew with a relaxed bottom. Another easy way to remember to put the larger piece on the bottom.

Not really new, just recycling back to an old one.

Mucky - your way of remembering is even better (worse?) than Lynda's.
