Default Silhouette Cameo Cutter

I just saw the Silhouette cutter on line and want to know if anyone has used one and what do you think of it?

My daughter has one and loves it...she got it off craigslist for a great deal...and she bought vinyl from a printer for WAY cheaper than craft stores. So keep that in mind if you need any.

Just saw it myself and though I would like it because you can put your own patterns on it through your computer. Nancy

I have one and I really like it. I have used it to make stencils to then quilt on my tops. I have also used it to make vinyl letters and things like that. I have also used it to make applique cut outs. It's a lot of fun1

what kind of material did you use for the stencils? And did you need a different blade? I am ashamed to say I got one LAST Jan and JUST got it out to cut some labels for my "Cookies in a Jar' gifts! I was not very successful the 1st couple of tries (mat was too sticky and shred my cardstock....and the blade was not set deep enought and it just scratched the card stock and shredded it). I persisted tho...and make a nice tag. Cutting stencils and vinyl is my next hurdle. Glad someone asked the question!

PS from the book, you can only cut fabric that has been interfaced. ...I have not tried it yet, so don't quote me!
