The Cameo now offers a scan and cut cutting mat. You can put in any picture even from a cell phone.
I have a regular scanner and played with this. It's weird when you first do it, but if the cutting mat doesn't fit into the scanner, scan the bottom of the mat first. Then the top, and program will combine. The instructions say it will combine pix from a camera.

This is fairly handy for me. I have an older HP photosmart hooked to the craft computer. That printer is very fussy about what it will and will not print. Heavy cardstock (100lb) does not go through, therefore I cannot do print and cut. By using the new mat, I can get the registration marks into the cutting format without having to bother with the HP printer. The Silhouette will cut the heavy cardstock.

I have a Canon printer attached to the primary desktop. I can shove almost any letter sized paper in that printer and it works.

It is a decent addition.

I've used regular stabilizer on fabric. Heavier weight iron on seems to work.
