Default simple project for my scraps, but will it be more than I think?

I made a quilt as a Christmas gift and I have scraps left. I am going to make some pillow covers with the scraps - I bought those pillow forms. I have done this before, so I wanted to try something different. I bought a 12" round pillow form. Is there some trick to being sure that I make the cover correctly for a round pillow cover? Any thoughts?

Are you doing it as two circles with a band around the edge or just as two circles?

Thank you for your reply, I don't really know. I have fabric that I could do this either way. BUT I do have a satin ruffle that I was going to put around the edge. I guess I will say I want to do it the easiest way my great niece isn't going to mind how I do it

My only tip would be to make sure the cover pieces are cut a tad smaller than the pillowform. This will ensure the cover is 'filled out' and not wrinkley.

measure the pillow from the middle of the side edge( where the seam would be)across the form to the other side , add seam allowance.

I did a quick google search and notice that the few instructions I could find for round pillows tend to make them with gathers or a button in the middle of the pillow.

Here is a pattern; although for dresden, is basic for a circle pillow without a button. http://www.diaryofaquilter.com/2013/...-tutorial.html
