    Simplicity Rotary Cutter?

If you have one, how on earth do you get it to cut straight? I am pulling my hair out-thought it would be a useful tool, ready to throw it across the room.

    Thanks

Never could get them straight, so the only thing I cut with it are strips for string quilts that are going on foundations and I don't care if they are even. Don't think mine has been used more than 3 times.

I've not heard of them. I use Olfa. the one with the curved handle. yellow and black. when i let go of the handle, the blade retracts. I love it. can you return yours?

Truthfully, I bought one, took it home and tried cutting several strips, packed it back up and returned it. The setup time involved was way more than cutting them by hand. I really don't care for the pinked edges, I don't know what to match up when sewing ) I actually prefer the Martelli rotary cutter, it seems to handle better and it is ergonomic! Ann

Here is a link to several threads on this machine. It does not get positive reviews from most quilters. I got one as a gift when they first came out and I was never able to use it for quilting strips. I used it to cut rag rug strips a couple of times and then it sat on a shelf for about 4 years. Someone wanted to buy it from me and I told them that it wasn't worth it but they insisted they wanted it. That person doesn't use it for quilting either.
