I've picked up a used Singer 2662 to add to my collection of machines. It came with the needle and foot attached, the cord/pedal, and nothing else (except a very nice hard carry case!!!!). The bobbin winder wouldn't work, but I fixed it. It was stuck.
The thread spool pin is metal and the spool cap from my Singer 1120 won't fit. The 1120 has a plastic pin. The 2662 has a slightly larger spool pin.
I'm wondering if you have the 2662, if you would check the spool cap (or caps) to see if they have a part # on them. I downloaded a manual for the 2662, but it only tells me that the machine came with the caps, and it doesn't give a part # or replacement #. I have looked and looked online for this info, but I've been unsuccessful so far.
TIA!!

Buttercream, Contact a online Singer dealer... There are many spool caps that look similar for that kind of machine...The dealer will be able to get you the proper spool pin. Good Luck Susie
