i dont have the 830, but do have the 630. If this 830 is in good condition..that is an awesome price.

If it's running, that's an awesome price. Grab it! They go for around $500-$800 if you can find one.

I have the Bernina 830 as it was the first machine I bought after we were married in 1976. It has been a wonderful machine and has given me very little trouble over the years and I have stitched for miles. Just last week, I was offered $400 sight unseen by a dealer for it. Evidently they have a waiting list for those machines and the Mennonite ladies in our area seem to really like them. My only problem is that it is hard to machine quilt a queen sized quilt with them as the harp is not as large as on my Janome 6500 which I bought just for the extra space needed for the large quilts that I often do. I don't think you would be sorry that you bought this machine. I hope it comes with a walking foot as feet for this machine are quite a bit more expensive and generic feet won't fit.
