I have the opportunity to buy this working machine (no attachments) for $50.00. The case is not in great shape and the machine needs cleaning. I think the machine was a treadle converted to electic, but can't access any internet info on this particular model for some reason (probably due to my rural provider).
Does anyone have this model or can some info be supplied ? Is pricing fair ? I would really appreciate your comments !

The Singer site says it was manufactured in 1915, but you'll have to call them to find out exact dates.
Here's a place you can ID the machine by it's features:
http://www.sandman-collectibles.com/...r-machines.htm
Good luck!!
And $50 is not a bad price for any Singer in fairly good condition. As long as it's not locked up with rust it can be cleaned up and parts replaced to make it very useable.

go to mySINGERstory.com and put in the serial number. It will give you the year and a certificate and you can register to win the 160th anniversary model
$50 in a good price for an antique. You should oil it and lubricate it.
you can also go to SingerCo.com and get a free manual.

Mrs Guava,
I tried SINGERstory.com, but states it is no longer available and I cannot access the Singer Site at all as it will not recognize my server site.
Thank you for taking the time to respond.
