Default Singer Quantum L-500 My Christmas gift

Due to over worked and not made for heavy quilting my little light weight machine stoped working.
Off to the repair shop we go , repair ??? so I look around the shop and find what I feel was a very good
buy , a pre owned Quantum L 500 for $599. looks and sews like a new one , couldn't make myself walk
out the door with out it. I'm in the middle of finishing 2 gift quilts, need this machine .
when I got home I did an online check for prices and coments about the machine, $1000.00 was the lowest price
I found and high praise about it's quality . Think I made a good buy??

I've seen mixed reviews on that model, but if it works for you then it's a great buy. I like the new Singers and the old Singers. Enjoy.

I bought this machine as my back up machine. I got it off Craigslist and paid $125! It had just been serviced too! I don't sew on it too much but what I have done with it, I am pleased!

I have one and am one of the ones that paid $1000 for mine. Walking foot right at your finger tips to engage or disengage, larger bobbins, heavy as the dickens. I love love love it! Only problem I've had is the low bobbin indicator comes on a little too fast but I don't mind for all the other features I got.
