My Singer treadle machine is a red eye from 1916-18. It belonged to my husbands grandmother and had been converted to electric. We never had the treadle. We found the treadle parts we needed and have put them on. Now I need a belt and I also noticed that the thread guide on the front plate is missing. I've seen belts on line. Does anyone know if you can order thread guides or what I could make one from? I'm so excited to try sewing with this machine. Thanks.

You should be able to call a sewing machine repair
person and they should have a catalog with parts
for treadle and old machines. I know my repair
person does. I was looking thru it and saw all kinds
of parts for our treadle and old machines.

Thanks, I'll have to do that.
