ARGH!! I'm quilting the border on my Twisted Palm quilt. The border has lots of turns. Each "vine" is 1" finished.

It will be neater if I use my accufeed foot on my Janome.

It will be faster if I free motion the sucker.

What a quandry. The thought of taking forever to SID all these turns drives me insane with all of these turns (and to go forward in some places means the bulk of the quilt will be inside the harp!).

Free motion ... wish I was better at straight lines :(

What would you do??

Here's a pic of the border. Want to SID the outside and the inside of each color "vine".

IMHO SID is harder to do. And I have done both.

Trying to stay close to 'the ditch' and not straying can be slow and 'stressful'. You would have lots of stopping and starting.

But FMQ is faster and easier.

Either would work for your quilt, but only you can decide which you are up to.

Do you mean you want to FMQ the SID? I'd have a hard time keeping the lines straight.
