Default Skateboard Quilt as seen on MSQC Tutorial

Hi, I have watched the skateboard tutorial on MSQC with Jenny and Rob. Fortunately, all of the information regarding the constructing of the block was clearly explained except how wide the wheel sets should be cut. If anyone knows this measurement please share I with me. I called MSQC and the lady I spoke to was not quite sure of the exact cutting width. Thank you in advance.

I have just made the skateboard quilt, not quilted yet. Anyway the directions for the wheels the white part,
the directions said 4 inches, but that was not wide enough for me, I made them 4 1/2 inches and then it fit.
Make a sample and see what works for you.

I am sorry but I did not make myself very clear. After the wheel fabrics are sewn together how wide should the wheel sets be cut to fit along the sides of each side of the decks?
