Default Slidelock ruler- Clear or Lighted edge?

I am going ot bite to bullet after reading so many good reviews and get myself these rulers. I don't know which color to get. I am 47 years old with pretty good eyesight.

I know the green (lighted) isn't actually a battery operated light. Looking at their website it looks like they demonstrate on the lighted one more.

Any thoughts if you have seen/ used both colors??

I live in FL so they don't go to the quilt shows down here... Not that I have been able to get to them either.

I have the green one. Love it. I don't see any downside to using the green one. If anything improves lighting and vision I am all for it.

I do know that the green one shows up better in video and pictures that is why it is used to be photographed more often

I have the clear as I bought them years ago. I don't cut with a rotary cutter with out a Slidelock. I'm not about to take the chance to cut my finger.

I just got the green one and it does not really light....I think it is the way it is cut, and you have to bend your head sideways and down to see it if you are standing in front of the ruler to cut. This is not something that is necessary on all fabric or in all situations, but it could be an advantage in certain circumstances. IMHO

Yup! The older one gets, the more lighting one needs. Love my green slide locks!

If you order it today...you should have it by Monday or Tuesday. Then, you can do the "happy dance". I have both the small and large ones. I've given my DIL one as a gift. "Cool". I have the original clear one. I also have the "green" ruler.
I don't cut anything without my Slidelock. Your fabric will not slide / shift at you reach the end of a long cut. Yeah!

I think the green one has less glare. I think the clear is better if you have a lot of natural light. I have the clear ice version and it works fine for me. To me its just a preference

Is there only one site to order these rulers?
