Is this quilt:
This pattern just done in three colors?
My daughter loves the black/white/red one. I'd like to make it for her college graduation but need a pattern!

ITA with FelineFanatic ... they are different patterns.
It would appear that these two are the same as the 2nd one you have posted.

I think this is the first one shown - a bit different than the 2nd one - and with different fabrics than shown in the pattern image: http://www.cozyquilt.com/aspx/Produc...productID=1564 i think red white and black works!

At first I thought the two quilts were the same except for the sashing. But it's not sashing that makes the difference. The white area in the red and black quilt is part of the quilt block, since the black square is included in the white area. The outer row on 2 sides of the red side of the block is white, with the black half square triangle.
Also, the center of each of the blocks is only a half square triangle instead of a full square.
The center blocks are all oriented toward the outside of the quilt.
It's hard to see the first quilt because the photo is so small.
