Welcome to the Quilting Board!

What if you used the pattern I think is called snowball, makes a somewhat round shape in the center of your block.
Great minds think alike............... I was thinking snowball too.Originally Posted by MamaBear61

Just cut squares of your fabric and sew a border of fabric that matches one of the colors in the block. Join them and it's a fast and easy quilt.
How about a dp9p they are easy and quick and leaves a focus fabric.
How about simple 5 inch blocks, alternating one block with soccer material and one block with a colour that is featured in your soccer print (could be either plain or patterned.) I'm sure I've seen that kind of design done with charm squares and it looked great. Now if I could only remember where I saw it...
If I can find an example I'll post a link.
What I've done before with a nice focus kid's fabric is make a 4 patch or 9 patch with matching colors and then cut a block of the focus fabric the same size then sew them together alternating them. Makes a real cute and easy quilt.
I had baseball fabric to use. Made a square in a square 2 pattern from www.quilterscache.com It went together fast and framed the fabric nicely.
Haven't found a picture yet, but I have found the charm math table here pretty useful http://www.minnesotacharms.com/charmtips.htmOriginally Posted by mosaicthinking
