Anyone try this product? I've never heard of it or used it, but it looks like several popular quilters are now using it. Opinions?

Stacy Michell, owner of Shades Textiles, has been in business for 25 years as a fabric dyer and quilter. Her mother is Marti Michell.

A quick cost comparison (list prices for bolt quantities) of her fusible web works out like this:
Misty Fuse (a major selling light weight fusible) $.45 per sq ft
Wonder Under 805 (a major selling paper backed light weight fusible) $.50 per sq ft
Soft Fuse (light weight paper backed fusible) $1.03 per sq ft

Yes, I know it's much more expensive. I've been not thrilled with Wonder Under and Steam a Seam 2. I think I'm going to try it.

I have heard about this product, but not it's use much. I think it comes in a pkg., in sheets too. I believe I read about it in Marti's newsletter I get... Sounds nice to me, please post when you try it!...

It's all I use, wonderful stuff! I buy it on the bolt, so it's cheaper. I can't give you a source, since I buy it wholesale, but shop around.

Thanks, CJ. I'd prefer to buy it off the bolt too if I like it, but I don't think anyone local sells it that way. I *think* only the sheets are available here.

Yes, 10 sheets for $10, but they are only 8"x9"...which works out to a little over $18 per square yard.
