where does your mind go....when you hand quilt?

    do you dream?

do you get lost in the stitches?

    does it relax your soul?

    please tell me.

I am learning the blanket stitch, and I think I may have found something to ease my mind....handwork.

I think about the person I am quilting the quilt for. I think about how much I love them, how this quilt will reinforce that love...and hopefully be something to be passed down.

I've been practicing for the last few weeks on a quilt sandwhich and the only thing I think about is getting 8 tiny little stitches in that stupid inch. LOL. I'm not good enough to think about anything else yet.

All of the above:) Most of all it brings me peace....I also feel the same when I'm gardening.
