Default Sometimes Being a UFO is a Good Thing

It is an applique project that involves fishing. I got some lures from the sports dept. at Walmart. They sat in a plastic bag with my notes about the project for 11 months, and when I started to work on it again today, I saw that the note paper looks like some fried chicken touched it. Wow! Good think this is not going to touch the fabric. Will have to think of something else.

Just wash them in some Dawn dish liquid. They're coated so they won't rust before purchase, I'd imagine.
