Default Soooo very excited, new machine

I ordered my new janome 8900 today, will go next weekend to get her. I also got the spool stand for her, is there anything else I may need to get?

I don't know what feet come with the machine, so would check if there were any I want that doesn't come with the machine. They might give you a discount when you pick up your machine. When I bought my last machine I got the extra feet discounted.
I hope there are lessons and support available too.

You will love it! Congratulations. I got one last year and I love mine. It has a 1/4 inch foot with it. It has a lot of feet with it! I wonder what some people think are the best extra feet for the 8900. It seems like I heard there are two new feet for the Acufeed like the open toe and something else. I just did some appliqué with mine and would have enjoyed having an open toe foot for that.

you already got the cone rack, so that's one recommendation already ticked "got."
absolutely get the 1/4" accufoot and the open toe accufoot.

i use the 1/4" for piecing everything but curves. (the regular 1/4" foot works better for those.)
the 1/4" accufoot also makes attaching binding soooooo much easier. i also leave it on for stitching the binding down once i've turned it.

i rely on the open toe accufoot for all my not-free-motion quilting.

when i had the MC6600P i had also purchased the ditch-stitching foot, but never got the hang of using it to its full advantage. consequently, i have not bought one for my 8900. BUT if you are skilled with use of a ditch-stitching foot, then that's one more accufoot you'll want to get.

everything else i have needed (so far) came with it.
