My husband enjoys my quilting, and never fails to compliment my work..now he has decided that he wants a quilt of his own! My problem is that he wants something with a "Southwest" feel to it, ( think Navajo rug) and I'm lost...all the patterns I see are very involved, and I'm just not good enough for that yet. So, does anybody know of a simple quilt in this fashion? HELP, please!

Go to RobertKaufman.com and type in Santa Fe Trail. It is a free pattern and I have used it many times. It is a lap or twin size but can easily be made bigger.

QuiltersCache has a pattern called Pleasant Paths that makes up very nicely in southwestern colors. It's a pretty simple block (15" I think) and goes together easily.

I saw one on Quilters Cache called squash blossom that doesnt look to hard and it could be done with manly colors.

Oh, I think that one would be lovely in a southwestern sunset sort of color range.

Have you tried Quilters Cache? They have a lot of free block patterns.

Here is a couple:
http://quilterscache.com/A/ArizonaBlock.html
http://quilterscache.com/N/NavajoBlock.html
http://quilterscache.com/P/PinesontheHillBlock.html

http://quilterscache.com/QuiltBlocksGalore.html
(this last one is for the site so you can go look at all the blocks. They have them by size or by name. Awesome site)
